ЦСКА обыграл «Балтику» в Кубке России

Moscow CSKA won away against Baltika (2:0) in the third round of the group stage of the RPL FONBET Russian Cup Path. The visitors scored both goals from penalties awarded for handball by Kaliningrad defenders.

Baltika's failure in the Russian Cup

Five minutes after Celestini's triple substitution, which sent three leaders onto the field: Kislyak, Krugovoy and Oblyakov, CSKA took the lead. Kislyak's activity in the Balts' penalty area led to a penalty being awarded for Andrade's handball. Oblyakov did not miss from the spot.

At the end of the game, Baltika players did not have much strength left to build attacks. The visitors, even after taking the lead, attacked more often and soon earned another penalty. The hosts were punished again for handball - this time Mohammad was unlucky. Oblyakov removed all questions and scored a double, effectively shooting under the crossbar.

Consequences of defeat

Baltika has no points after three rounds of the Russian Cup group stage, while CSKA, with seven points, has come close to reaching the playoffs. In the next round, these same teams will play each other in Moscow on September 18.
