Russian car market is getting stronger
In April 2025, the Russian automobile market demonstrated impressive growth and rose to fifth place in the European ranking, ahead of Spain. This conclusion was made by analysts of the AUTOSTAT agency based on data provided by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
In April, 102,107 new passenger cars were sold in Russia. Although this number is 25.5% less than last year, this result allowed Russia to break into the top five leaders of the European market.
Leaders of the European automobile market
Germany and Italy continue to lead Europe. Germany sold 242,728 cars in April, down 0.2% from a year earlier. Italy came in second with 139,142 cars sold, up 2.7%. France fell to third place, selling 138,696 cars, down 5.6% from a year earlier. The UK, which led in March, dropped from first place, selling 120,331 cars, down 10.4% from a year earlier.
It is worth noting that the Spanish car market grew by 7.1% last month and reached 98,522 units, but still failed to overtake Russia.
