New Omoda C7 crossover appears on the Russian market
Omoda C7, a crossover that was presented a year ago, became the third model of the Omoda brand in Russia. Unlike the younger C5 crossover and the S5 sedan, the Omoda C7 was developed specifically for this brand and has a different design. In China, where Omoda belongs, this crossover is not yet sold, although in the future its version will appear under the Chery brand.
Dimensions and interior
The Omoda C7 is comparable in size to the Jetour Dashing crossover (also produced in Russia) and larger than the Chery Tiggo 7 and Jaecoo J7 models, all of which are built on the same T1X platform. The body length is 4660 mm, width is 1875 mm, height is 1670 mm, and the wheelbase is 2720 mm.
The car's interior is designed in a minimalist style, with a minimum number of physical buttons. The front panel houses a compact instrument display (8.9 inches) and a large (15.6 inches) media system tablet.
Initially, it was intended to be possible to move the media system screen to the right, towards the passenger, but this function is not yet available in production cars.
Technical specifications
On the Russian market, the Omoda C7 is available only with a 1.6 TGDI turbo engine (150 hp, 275 Nm) and a seven-speed "robot" with two wet clutches. The entire model line comes with a choice between front and all-wheel drive. The fuel tank capacity depends on the type of drive: 51 or 57 liters, respectively. The rear suspension is the same for all versions - independent multi-link.
The stated ground clearance is 175-176 mm.
