78th Cannes Film Festival: Competition Results
The Côte d'Azur has once again become the center of world cinema. Closing the 78th Cannes Film Festival, the jury, headed by the talented actress Juliette Binoche, determined the winners of the main program. The jury also included Jeremy Strong, Halle Berry, Alba Rohrwacher, Hong Sang-soo, Payal Kapadia, Dudo Amadi, Carlos Reygadas and Leila Slimani.
Golden Palm Branch
The festival's main award, the Palme d'Or, was awarded to the film "A Simple Accident" by director Jafar Panahi.

• Best Director: Kleber Mendonça Filho for The Secret Agent
• Grand Prix: film “Sentimental Value” by director Joachim Trier
• Best Screenplay: Young Mothers by Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne
• Best Actor: Wagner Moura for his role in The Secret Agent
• Best Actress: Nadia Melliti for her role in the film "Junior Dernier"
• Special Jury Prize: Resurrection by Bi Gan
• Jury Prize: Sirat by Oliver Lasche and The Sound of Falling by Mascha Szylinski
• Best Short Film: I'd Be Glad If You Died Now by Taufik Barom
Honorary award
This year, the honorary Palme d'Or was awarded to legendary actors Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington.
