"Like Mossad": New Episode of "FBI" Inspired by Intelligence Agencies

Inspiration from real events

The seventh season of the CBS series FBI, which is also broadcast in Israel, is coming to an end. The final, 22nd episode, titled “A New Day,” is scheduled to air today, May 26, on the Yes and Sting TV platforms. The series creators drew inspiration for this episode from a real Mossad operation that took place in September 2024. The operation was so impressive that it is often referred to as a “Hollywood saga.”

Terrorists and disguised phones

In the episode "A New Day," FBI agents encounter a terrorist group that has managed to infiltrate the bureau's New York office through spy agents. Their plan is to use ordinary cell phones that actually contain micro-explosives. These devices, disguised as ordinary ones, are activated remotely, and as a result, nine agents are killed, including the head of the office.

Hidden war against traitors

A seasoned team of FBI agents must operate with extreme stealth. Their mission is to expose traitors among their own and prevent further attacks.
