
Evacuation of Murom residents due to UAV danger
At night, residents of Murom, Vladimir Region, were evacuated from the area where drones appeared. This was reported by Vladimir Region Governor Alexander Avdeev.
The head of the region called on residents to be vigilant and reminded that recommendations in case of detection of a drone are available at the link. The situation with the appearance of UAVs in the region remains under control.
New wave of attacks
This is not the first case of drone attacks on the Vladimir region. Yesterday morning, it became known that two Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the region. Since the beginning of May, the region has been attacked by UAVs 5 times, air defense forces shot down 11 unmanned aerial vehicles. Due to the threat of incoming attacks, mobile Internet in some areas of the region is still limited.
Let us recall that on April 30, a fire broke out in a warehouse of a plant in the city of Murom at one of the enterprises on the Oka River. The area of the fire was 720 square meters. Governor Avdeyev then reported that the cause of the fire was the fall of a UAV.
Losses and damages
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that three aircraft-type drones were suppressed by electronic warfare forces over the Vladimir Region. The head of the Murom District, Yevgeny Rychkov, reported that two buildings were damaged at the plant attacked by the UAV. A fire broke out in one of them, and the facade of the other was damaged. However, there was no threat to the lives and health of the plant's employees or residents of the nearby microdistrict.
Update:
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that from 20:00 on May 26 to 07:00 on May 27, 7 Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the Vladimir region. The governor specified that several drones were suppressed directly in Murom. Emergency services are working on the scene. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, glazing and doorways of three buildings in the industrial zone were damaged. The Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished a minor vegetation fire.
