Alpine A390: An Electric Crossover With Sports Car Ambitions
The Alpine brand has finally unveiled its long-awaited new product, the A390. The second electric car and at the same time the first crossover of the brand has dimensions of 4615x1885x1532 mm with a wheelbase of 2708 mm.
The A390 is built on the same platform as the Renault Megane E-Tech and Nissan Ariya, but the Alpine chassis features special sports-tuned dampers.
Three-engine power
The A390 has three electric motors: one in the front and two on the rear axle. In the GT version, they develop 401 hp and 650 Nm, and in the GTS version, the output increases to 469 hp and 808 Nm.
The powerful GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h. Both versions are equipped with the same 89 kWh traction battery, which provides a range of up to 555 km.
Appearance
Despite the "off-road" protective body kit, the ground clearance of the A390 is only 152 mm. In Europe, orders for the new product will be accepted from the fourth quarter of this year.
